Healthy Cooking

It is sad to hear someone say that healthy food is not supposed to taste good. In my opinion, these people are lost and they are what i call "food mortals". When dieting, cooking skills are not to be underestimated and be looked over. You don't have to eat dry and tasteless chicken just because you think cooking it that way is healthier. Knowing how to cook properly can keep you away from making bad choices and midnight cravings by a thousand miles. I am no professional chef, but i can definitely give some tips on how to cook in a way so you wont believe the food you are eating is guilt free! Jump! ->

Why Am I Still Fat?!

"Help! I haven't lost weight in a month and i've been working super hard! What's going on??"". These  problems has affected most of people who try to lose weight and get in shape. There are many reasons this could happen. It is important to be honest with yourself to be able to find out what's going on.

Snacks - What To Eat

Don't know what to snack on? First, i'll give you this link to Livestrong. The site is great for keeping track of what you eat. Eating snacks between main meals is highly reccommended, so dont be afraid of opening the doors of your fridge 3 hours after you ate. Snacking can often be tricky because we don't really know what to look for when checking our pantries and fridges. You shouldn't snack on stuff you just found on your fridge or pantry, since it can lead to making poor choices. When going for a bite to eat, you should have predetermined foods that fit your diet.

What's The Right Diet For Me?

First of all, diet is a very misunderstood word. Getting on a diet does not necessarily mean eat less. It's getting the right combination of nutrients into your body so your goal can be reached, kind of like your own personal lunchbox. It is not recommended to be hungry while on a fixed diet. Those diets that restrain your stomach from getting food are very bad for you. These diets usually make you lose tons of pounds in a short period of time, which can be good if you're attending a wedding in 2 weeks. Although these starvation diets can be convenient at times, they are quickly gained again after your important event.

What Are Calories?

The main question often is, what are calories? How much do i burn? And how do i burn them? Calories are a unit of measure for energy. Your body runs on it. It's like human fuel. To burn them, you will need excercise. The right type of excercise is very important for you to achieve what you want. Cardio workouts and lifting are not the same thing, though they are both necessary (including women). To lose weight, you will need to be on a caloric deficit. That means eating a bit less than what your body needs daily. Livestrong is a very good website that can help you on counting calories. Counting them can be tricky at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's a no-brainer.
